Chisinau International Airport will install the biggest photovoltaic power station in Moldova on a 7 ha area, which will cover its whole energy consumption, announced the company’s representative at the Fair of Eco-Responsible Ideas today.
It will take 6 months to install the photovoltaic power station, which will have a 3.64 MW capacity and 14 thousand polycrystalline modules, 175 inverters, 20 KW each, and three power transformation stations, 1600 kVA each.
According to Dmitri Navrotki, the Avia Invest representative, airports are good places for construction of photovoltaic power stations, because the area is big enough and the premises have flat roofs. Today more than 100 airports in the world have solar systems, which generate more than 400 MW of electricity.
During the Fair of Eco-Responsible Ideas potential investors and development partners had the opportunity to appreciate the innovative projects competing at Moldova Eco-Energetica contest.
One of the projects presented at the Fair of Eco-Responsible Ideas is insulation of buildings with natural materials made of sheep wool. According to Alexandra Sian, the representative of the wool factory Sandilana Ltd, “the traditional insulating materials, largely used because they are more affordable, are harmful. In the meantime, large amounts of sheep wool remain unused. Wool is a premium class insulation material, because it is organic and has the ability to purify the air and can last till 100 years”.
Also today the representatives of Dynavolt Renewable Power Technology Co., Ltd., China, shared their experience of using modern electrical energy storage technologies. Dynavolt is a high tech company dealing with power generation from renewable sources and power storage and use. In the recent years Dynavolt has been extending its business to cover lithium batteries, renewable energy and new energy vehicles.
